Magtha means handloom in the local language of Koshti community weavers in districts of Nagpur presidency in the time of British India, once a part of the historic Central Province. It is estimated that more than 160,000 weavers were active in the late 1800s in the area but it has been declined and now only few thousand weavers weave in the region.
Our organization is actively involved in a few villages in the region to ensure throughout year employment to as many as weavers possible.
